Copen-Edwards
Alison S. Edwards and Kirk A. Copen were united in marriage on Sept. 15 at Lakeview Resort and Spa in Morgantown. The Revs. Mike Argabrite and Dennis Cox were the officiants.
The bride is the daughter of Mark H. and Karen Edwards of Uniontown. The bridegroom is the son of Glenn and Debra Copen of Morgantown, W.Va.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a white strapless A-line gown with beaded embroidery and chapel-length train.
Matron of honor was Bethany McCoy, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Rebekah Edwards, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Marieli Edwards, sister-in-law of the bride; Jamie Addis, cousin of the bride; Cassie Copen, sister of the bridegroom; Bethany Braman, Jenny Anderson and Erin Kuyper. Flower girl was Alexis McCoy, niece of the bride.
Serving as best men were Jay Argabrite and Anthony Zinn. Groomsmen were Josh Copen, brother of the bridegroom; Wes Edwards, brother of the bride; Tom McCoy, brother-in-law of the bride; Jimmy Fredlock, uncle of the bridegroom; Chad Bishop and Andy Decker. Jakob Addis, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A dinner reception was held in the Reflections on the Lake Ballroom at Lakeview Resort and Spa.
The bride graduated from Laurel Highlands High School and from Cedarville University in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Heiskell, King, Burns and Tallman in Morgantown.
The bridegroom graduated from West Virginia University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is a senior software engineer with Chainbridge Software.
The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallerto, Mexico.
They are residing in Morgantown.
