… Dolores J. (Wellington) Ballone, age 79, of Cardale, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa.
She was born April 10, 1928, in Rices Landing, Pa., a daughter of the late, Thomas A. Wellington and Margaret (Ellsworth) Wellington.
Dolores was a member of the First Christian Church, Republic, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo S. Ballone Sr. in 1995, sisters, Gertrude Markish, Grace McManus, Marlene Wellington and Genevieve Latsnic, brothers, Thomas, Norman, William, James, Vernon and John “Jack” Wellington.
Surviving are children: Carlo S. Ballone, Jr. and wife, Rita of Merrittstown, Pa., Elena M. Ballone of Belle Vernon, Pa., Rick L. Ballone and wife, Sandra of Penncraft, Pa., Sharon Miller of Monaca, Pa., Michael K. Ballone and wife, Lori of Brownsville, Pa., and Darla Adams and husband, Jason of Uniontown, Pa.
Grandma Nicky will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Dominique, Cody, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Madison whom she loved and adored and held a special place in her heart and also other grandchildren: Donna Flaherty, Michelle Holland, David McGrath, Timothy McGrath and Carla Ballone; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Davies and husband, Evan of Merrittstown, Pa., Mary Beaver and husband, Bill of Augrus, Mich., and Audrey Wellington of Herbert, Pa.; and brothers, Marvin Wellington of Filbert Heights, Pa., and Gilbert Wellington of Falls Church, Va.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 19 Legion St., Republic, Pa., today, May 6, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 7, 2007, until 11:00 a.m. the hour of Service with the Reverend J.W. Hormell, officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
