Rita-Ann Young and Francesco D. Gigliotti, both of Alexandria, Va., were united in marriage on Aug. 12 at St. Joseph Chapel, Seton Hill University, Greensburg. The Rev. George Moneck officiated the nuptial Mass.

A reception was held at Nemacolin Country Club at Beallsville.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Stephanie Young of Richeyville.

The bridegroom is the son of Gabriele and Petronilla Gigliotti of Alexandria, Va.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a silk white gown with detachable train, all embellished with Swarovski crystals. A fingertip-length veil was held by a matching tiara.

Ashley Mowl, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rochelle Paris, Kelly Ballard, Rebecca Narchus and Lori Hedderman. Danielle Lagana, godchild of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Best man was Joseph Isaja, cousin of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Filippo Isaja and Joseph Torchia, cousins of the bridegroom; and Peter Hearding and Jesse Gallva. Dylan Dingle, godchild of the bride’s parents, was ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Seton Hill University with a bachelor’s degree in music education and Duquesne University with a master’s degree in music education.

She is a high school choral director with the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia.

The bridegroom graduated with a bachelor of art degree in Italian, foreign affairs and international relations from the University of Virginia.

He is a project supervisor with Lockheed Martin Corp.

The couple honeymooned at the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

They are living in Alexandria.
