Jim was born on June 24, 1950 in Rochester, Beaver County, Pa., a son of the late Walter and Alma Calhoun Dunn. Jim was given
the nickname of “JD” by his family and friends.
He attended West Virginia University on a full track and field scholarship and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree from the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics. Jim was the Manager of Pizza Inn at the Mountaineer Mall from 1974-1992 and was the General Manager of Pargos Restaurant in Morgantown from 1993 until 2005.
Jim most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking and golf; he was an avid sports fan. He was a coach for the Special Olympics and volunteered for numerous youth sports programs with his son, Riley, at Saint Francis De Sales and Morgantown High School. He was an active member of the Saint John University Parish in Morgantown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Darlene Trusio Dunn; his son, Riley James Dunn; his brother, Jeff Potter Dunn, all at home as well as Georgia Trusio, his sister-in-law, of Atlanta, and nephews: Marc and Michael Trusio; and a multitude of family and friends across the country.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the ROTRUCK-LOBB FUNERAL HOMES MANCINELLI CHAPEL in Westover. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Saint John University Parish with the Rev. Father John Rice as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Saint Mary’s Peace Garden Mausoleum.
A Prayer Vigil Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 8:30 p.m.
