Norma J. Emens, 80, of Winneconne, Wisc., died early Saturday morning, May 5, 2007, in her home with her daughter,… Norma J. Emens, 80, of Winneconne, Wisc., died early Saturday morning, May 5, 2007, in her home with her daughter, Sandy at her side.
She was born on April 18, 1927, in Luzerne, Pa., the daughter of the late Peter and Rosemary (McGinnis) Shaneyfelt.
She married Dale Emens on March 3, 1966, in Chicago Ill., where they made their home. Norma was employed as a waitress at various supper clubs in the Chicago area.
Her husband Dale preceded her in death in 1982 and in May of 1983 Norma moved to the Village of Winneconne to be closer to her daughter, Sandy.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Sandy Colvin, and her fiance, John Andersen of Winneconne, Wisc.; one sister, LaVonne DeLorenzo of Collier, Pa.; three grand-children; four great-grand-children and her special friends: Elaine Abendroth, Jan Hillman, and Dan and Connie Boehnlein; and their sons, all of Winneconne, Wisc.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 7 p.m. in the MUELLER FUNERAL HOME, Winneconne, Wisc. with the Pastor John Covach officiating.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Winneconne Cemetery at a later time.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the hour of service.
