Robert W. “Bob” Grimm, 82, of Connellsville, Pa., died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Hilltop Manor in Donegal.

He was… Robert W. “Bob” Grimm, 82, of Connellsville, Pa., died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Hilltop Manor in Donegal.

He was born February 2, 1925, in Curlls-ville, Pa., the son of the late William Francis and Lottie B. Sayers Grimm.

Mr. Grimm was a graduate of Sligo High School Class of 1943.

He was a retired Transmission and Distribution Supervisor for West Penn Power Company from 1947 through 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force. He was a former Boy Scout Leader in Curllsville and in Connellsville and he was a member of the B.P.O. Elks of Scottdale.

“Bob” was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and he had many hobbies including golfing, fishing, camping, watching sports, listening to big band music and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Helen Irene Grimm, one granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Grimm and one grandson, Ronald Richard Grimm.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy H. Foster Grimm whom he married on December 24, 1948; one son, Robert L. Grimm and his wife Carol of Uniontown; one stepdaughter Judy Grimm married to “Bob’s” brother Ronald Grimm; six grandchildren, Dottie Sue Reddinger and her husband Randy of Shippenville, Pa., Patty Grafton and her husband Mike of Worthington, Pa., Katie Grimm of Waynesburg, Pa., Mike Grimm of Morgantown W. Va., Jim Grimm of Uniontown and Lori McClain Grimm Kitchen of Clarion, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren: Randy, Shelley, Any Sue, and Christopher Reddinger, Matthew, Brennan and Lucas Grafton; a niece, Betsy Hough Louster and many extended family members and friends.

Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dean W. Meyer and the Rev. Bruce Crossley co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hilltop Manor for their loving and special care of Mr. Grimm during his stay there.
