By Josh Krysak 1 min read

Three Uniontown teens are facing a variety of charges after they allegedly stole a vehicle at gunpoint from three people in South Union Township Sunday. State police said the boys, who were not identified by police, were charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, simple assault and conspiracy.

According to police, the teens – one wielding a shotgun – physically assaulted Roger Strawser Jr. and Pamela Santos, both of Mt. Lake Park, Md., as well as Timothy Whitacre of Bayard, W.Va., in Tuskegee Terrace at 11:36 a.m.

Police said the teens allegedly threatened the three people with the shotgun and then stole their 1999 Ford Taurus, which was parked at the location.

Troopers later located the boys walking on Douglas Street in South Union. Police said they were taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was recovered on Herman Street, also in South Union.

Two of the boys were 15 years old and one was 17, police said.

Trooper Joseph Panepinto said the teens were placed in the custody of Fayette County Juvenile Probation following their arrest.
