Emma V. Shimek Kozlina, 92, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Collier, Pa., passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 9,… Emma V. Shimek Kozlina, 92, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Collier, Pa., passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 9, 2007.
She was born March 28, 1915, in Collier, Pa., the daughter of the late Michael Shimek and Ann Pitek Shimek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen A. Kozlina, brothers and sisters.
Emma was a member of saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Fairchance, Pa., and the Rosary Society.
She is survived by her loving children: Joann Rogers and husband, Nick of Uniontown, Bonnie McLane and husband, Clyde of Pittsburgh, Pa., Sandy Kozlina of Uniontown and Ted Kozlina and wife, Betsy of Roscoe, Pa.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Emma is also survived by her sisters: Mary Bacha of Fairchance, Peggy Costello of Lake San Marcos, California and Cele Hunt of Lake San Marcos, California and a special friend, Trisha Sible.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, May 11, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in SAINTS CYRIL and METHODIUS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Fairchance, on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant. (NOTE: Please go directly to the church on Saturday morning).
Interment follows in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on today at 7:45 p.m.
