Frank Steve Korchak, Sr., 59, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in the Pitt County Memorial Hospital,… Frank Steve Korchak, Sr., 59, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in the Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina.
He was born on April 23, 1948, in Brownsville, Pa., son of Pauline V. (Yanecko) Korchak of Normalville, Pa., and the late Frank Korchak.
Frank was retired from Gnagey Oil Company and was an avid golfer and fisherman, enjoying many summers in his boat on the Youghiogheny Dam.
He served his country during the Vietnam War, a proud member of the United States Marine Corp, at the rank of Sergeant.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 51, the V.F.W. Post 7219 and the Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 25 years who was his best friend, Linda L. (Cole) Korchak; his son, Frank S. Korchak, Jr. of Florida; his daughter, Kristy Lynn Korchak of USAF San Antonio, Texas; brother, Raymond Korchak and his wife, Anna Mae of Virginia Beach; five nephews: Raymond Korchak, Tim Korchak, Michael Genovese, Bobby Cole and Ben Cole.

FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, May 14, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Mark Kephart officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Brownfield, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 51 and North Union V.F.W. Post 8543.
