Lisa Tweardy of Uniontown is engaged to wed David Buckingham of McClellandtown in a ceremony set for Sept. 1. The bride-elect is the daughter of Karen Tweardy of Uniontown and the late Rev. Jim Tweardy. She is a 1992 graduate of Uniontown Area High School and a 1996 graduate of Grove City College. She is director of Youth Ministries at Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown.

Her fiance is the son of William and Susan Buckingham of Falls Church, Va. He is a 1995 graduate of George Mason High School in Falls Church and a 1999 graduate of Grove City College. He is director of Contemporary Worship at Third Presbyterian Church.
