AnnaMary was called to the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2007, to be joined with her son, Harry Joseph Pantalo, who preceded her on December 9, 1995. She was also predeceased by five brothers: Lewis, Henry, Gene, Ralph and Robert Shaffer.

AnnaMary is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Philip “Flip” Pantalo, and her loving children: Darlene and her husband Robert Varndell of Farmington, Pa., Diane and her husband William Pletcher Sr. of Hopwood, Pa., Jenny Pantalo and Patrick Sroka of Hopwood, Sandra Pantalo of Uniontown, Pa., Philip A. Pantalo and his wife Tina of Fairchance, Pa., Randy Pantalo of Little Brownfield and Mary Catherine and her husband Larry Rockwell of Little Brownfield; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Sue Pantalo (wife of son Harry) of Uniontown, Pa.; Grand-children: Philip Varndell and his wife Holly of Farmington, Robert Varndell and his wife Tracey, Jeremiah Pletcher and Tiffany, William Pletcher II and Alicia, Harry Joseph Pantalo II and his wife Kelley, and Thomas A. Modispaw II all of Uniontown, Pa., Anna Mary Krieger and her husband Mike of Colorado, Diane M. Pletcher of Uniontown, Antonio Marco Pantalo and his wife Jessica of Fairchance, Randa Pantalo of New Salem, Pa., and Ryan Pantalo of Hopwood, Pa.; fifteen Great-Grandchildren: Philicia, Phaith, Philicity and Phawn Varndell, Victoria, Alexis and Kimber Varndell, Jeremiah Jr. and Tapanga Pletcher, William III and Halie Pletcher, Mianna and Nathanial Krieger, Luke Anthony Pantalo and Aleigh; one brother, Ray Shaffer of Hopwood; two sisters: Ruth Rudinsky of Hopwood and Betty and her husband Frank Varndell of Jumonville, Pa.; a very special niece, Bonnie M. Rankin of Hopwood; and several nieces and nephews.

AnnaMary was employed by the Laurel Highlands School District as a custodian for several years until her retirement.

AnnaMary was a wonderful, loving, strong and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, with a strong belief in God, who enjoyed her favorite past time-singing and playing cards with her family.

She loved her small dog, “Lil Bit”.

She was known to all as Mom “Mammie” Pantalo. She will be greatly missed and cherished, but never forgotten. She lived her “Dash” in life exceptionally well!

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 16, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Charles O’Brian officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
