Four A.G. directors secure nominations
Four incumbents can expect to regain their positions on the Albert Gallatin Area School Board, having secured both the Democratic and Republican nominations in Tuesday’s primary. According to unofficial results, Edward A. Colebank, David K. Howard, John A Kopas III and Janet S. Swaney received the Democratic and Republican nominations.
On the Democratic ballot, with all precincts reporting, Colebank received 2,009 votes, while Howard received 2,040, Kopas received 1,844 and Swaney received 1,934.
On the Republican ballot, Colebank received 260 votes, while Howard received 194, Kopas received 232 and Swaney received 230 votes.
Challenger Michael F. Dunham also secured both Democratic and Republican nominations. He received 1,653 Democratic votes and 240 Republican votes.
Challengers Terry Ryan and Jesse J. Moats failed to receive a party nomination.
With all the votes counted, Ryan received 1,414 Democratic votes and 182 Republican votes, while Moats received 119 Democratic votes.
Moats was the only candidate who did not cross-file for both political parties.
