Jarrett gains Nicholson Twp. votes
With votes still being counted into the wee hours Tuesday night, it appeared Richard A. Jarrett held off Charles McClain to secure the Democratic nomination for Nicholson Township supervisor. On Wednesday, unofficial totals revealed that Jarrett received 70 percent of the vote for the position, garnering 365 votes to 158 votes cast for McClain.
Jarrett will likely win the supervisor’s position in the November election, with no one slated to run against him on the Republican ticket.
Township supervisors serve a six-year term.
