Greene election office updates municipal, school board races
The Greene County Elections Office has the updated unofficial primary election results for offices in various municipalities as well as for school board directors in the county’s five school districts. The results include votes that were cast in the county’s 44 voting precincts as well as absentee votes. They do not include write-in votes. Frances Pratt, director of the Greene County Elections Office, said the updated results include 242 absentee ballots, which were counted and tabulated by election workers Thursday morning.
The county’s election board began canvassing the ballots Friday in the elections office, which is the first step toward officially certifying the results of the primary.
The following candidates won in their respective school board and municipal races in Greene County (in order of total number of votes received).
