Students holding year-end art exhibit
Students from the Albert Gallatin Area Senior High School Art Department are holding their year-end exhibit at the National City Bank in downtown Uniontown during May. This exhibition is sponsored by AGHS Art Club, which is coached by Madelyn Cindric, as one of its yearly service/community projects.
The student work show is a culmination of lessons and projects produced in Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, Art 4, Photography and Ceramics/Sculpture classes at the senior high school.
Works displayed include drawings in pencil, colored pencil, marker, dry-point etchings and mixed media; paintings in acrylic, oil, watercolor and mixed media; and ceramics/sculpture, which include hand-building (pinchpot, coil, slab) and wheel techniques.
Teachers at the high school are Sharon Sementa-Bunyan who teaches Art 1 and 2; Madelyn Cindric who teaches Art 2, Art 3 and Art 4 and Ceramics/Sculpture; and Andrew Keener who teaches photography.
The public can view the show during bank hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call the high school at 724-564-2024, art department ext. 1128.
