She… Ann Honeycheck Bane, age 84, of Brownsville, Pa., died peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2007, after a short illness.
She was born on January 29, 1917, in Vestaburg, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Sophia Honeycheck.
Ann was a member and daily communicant of Saint Mary of The Assumption, followed by The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville. She was active in the Church until her final days. Ann cooked and baked her wonderful specialties for all to enjoy.
She will be remembered for her faithful devotion to God, living the Gospels and as one who prayed ceaselessly for others’ needs.
Family and friends mourn the loss of this sincere, kind woman, who always made herself available to help others.
She was one of 12 children.
He beloved son, Gerald F. “Chip” Bane, preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Honeycheck of Michigan; and her sister, Margaret Honeycheck Krivda of Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, May 21, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
In lieu of flowers, and at Ann’s request, those who wish to express sympathy would be kind to make an offering for Mass in her memory to The Historic Church of Saint Peter, 118 Church Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home today at 7 p.m.
