He was… Earl Knoyer, 80 years, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown.

He was born August 6, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa.

Mr. Knoyer was a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.

He was later employed by the Hagan Dairy and the Fike’s Dairy in Uniontown.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Margaret McTigue Knoyer, his wife, Donna Mae Moorhouse Knoyer, and two brothers, Ralph C. Knoyer and Thomas Knoyer.

Surviving are a son, Edward P. Knoyer and his wife, Nan Knoyer, of Uniontown; a daughter, Earla Jane Knoyer of Uniontown; two grandsons: Lee Patrick Knoyer and Logan Christopher Knoyer; a brother, Paul Knoyer of Uniontown, Pa.; and two sisters: Claire Flynn of Orlando, Florida, and Frances LoPresti of Cleveland, Ohio.

Family will receive friends in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 21, until 11 a.m. when the Service will be held with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Post Office Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.
