Joseph (“Pip” or “Pippy”) Caglia, age 90, of Brownsville, Pa., died on Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital,… Joseph (“Pip” or “Pippy”) Caglia, age 90, of Brownsville, Pa., died on Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.

He was born on October 28, 1916, in Brownsville, Pa., the son of Michael Caglia and Rosina (DiMartino) Caglia.

He was a carpenter by trade, was formerly employed at the Brownsville General Hospital and was a former member of the Hiller Firemen’s Social Hall.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Sante D. Caglia and Harry Caglia, and one sister-in-law, Marilyn (Fisher) Caglia.

He is survived by one sister: Mary (Caglia) Cutlip and her husband, Russell H. Cutlip, of Hiller, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Pearl (Bartus) Caglia of Brownsville, Pa.; nieces and nephews: Carolyn Griffith and her husband, John, Donna Rae Stock and her husband, Tony, Renee DeLuca and her husband, Norman, Robert Cutlip and his wife, Cathy, and Michael Caglia and his wife, Susan; grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Lauren Griffith, Jamie Griffith, Andrew, Christopher Cutlip, Stephen Cutlip, Michael Cutlip, Tara Stock, Anthony Stock, Jeremy DeLuca and Elizabeth Caglia.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, May 21, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Sandusky officiating.

Entombment will follow in The Chapel of Peace Mausoluem at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
