Mount Rose Gospel Chorus will celebrate its 27th anniversary with the theme “Total Praise’ at 4 p.m. today.

The event will honor the Christian Travelers Male Chorus from Bethlehem Baptist Church of McKeesport, where the Rev. Frank Reach formed the group more than 20 years ago.

The Rev. Brian K. McLee is pastor. Dorothy Linton is president.

Position filled

The Fayette County Airport Authority hired someone to fill an $8-an-hour maintenance position at the Joseph A. Hardy-Connellsville Airport. Stanley Horvath Jr. of Uniontown was hired Wednesday, the day after the authority authorized the hiring, according to an airport official.

Traffic restriction

The state Department of Transportation District 12 said that routine inspections of overhead sign structures on Interstate 70 in Washington County will occur today.

Motorists will encounter single-lane restrictions in the vicinity of overhead sign structures. The hours of the inspections are between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution through the work zone.

Holiday hours

The state Department of Transportation said its driver license and photo centers will be closed Saturday, May 26, and Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

Customers still may obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s driver and vehicle services Web site, www.dmv.state.pa.us.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver license renewal, photo ID and vehicle registrations, driver-history services, change of address and exam scheduling.

There are no additional fees for using online services.
