He was born December 18, 1951, in Brownsville, Pa., son of Elizabeth (Stronko)

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his half sisters, Rosie Sutton and Mary Capan, and his father-in-law, Joseph Angotti.

Andy was a crane operator for United States Steel Corporation’s Clairton Works for 25 years prior to retirement.

He was raised a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance. He was a Life Member of American Legion Post 51, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (Missouri), a member of the NRA, and former member and officer of ABATE.

During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country with the United States Air Force at the rank of Sergeant.

Andy was an avid hunter and fisherman, who had a great appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed many summers camping at Antique Park with his wife and family.

He made many friends as a CB radio operator, known by his handle, “Sinbad”.

He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and his loving pet, “Midnight”.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Sandy (Angotti) Smaniotto; daughter, Natalie Ann Romesburg and her husband, Mathew, of Smithfield, Pa.; grandson, Tyler Romesburg; two brothers: John Smaniotto and his wife, Ruth Ann, and Michael “Joe” Smaniotto and his wife, Patti, all of Smithfield, Pa.; nephew, Adam Smaniotto; two nieces: Katie Smaniotto and Emily Smaniotto; his mother-in-law, Carole Ann Angotti of Baldwin, Pa.; three sisters-in-law, Angela Jenkins and her husband, Ricky, Paula Gori and her husband, Frank, both of Clairton, Pa., and Debbie Kleckner and her husband, Earl of McMurray, Pa., and their families.

FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 21, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Steven Sparks officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 51 and the North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.

Visitation was also held on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
