Joshua Durbin of Gatenville, Texas, will celebrate his 17th birthday on May 27. He is the son of Robert Durbin Jr. and the late Mary Ann Moser Durbin and the grandson of Ercell Lee Durbin of Uniontown and the late Robert Durbin Sr.
Darlene Landi celebrated her birthday on May 6.
Martha McGinity celebrated her birthday on May 12.
Bill Ainsley was a birthday celebrant on May 15.

Trip planned
Central Christian Church is sponsoring a one-day trip to Mountain Play House to see “Steele Magnolias.” The van will leave the church at 9:10 a.m. on June 5. Anyone wishing to go may call the church and speak to Linda for more information.
Calendar party set
Central Christian Church is planning a calendar party at the church on Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m.
The cost is $10 per person. Lunch is included. There will be an auction.
Anyone wishing to donate items is asked to see Shelley Verbosky, Patty Roddy, Terry Martin, John Yukish or Keithette Quarrick.
Banquet held
The dartball banquet was held at Salvation Army on May 10. Fairchance ladies team won first place.
President Frances Leon presented gifts to Lila Johnson, Fairchance, for the most home runs, Becky Albright and Judy Youler of Salvation Army, the most triples; Gerri Pollock of Fairchance, the most doubles, and Jamie Youler, Salvation Army, the most singles.
Salvation Army came in second place, CMA, third place, C.C. Church, fourth place and Allison, last place.
