Eating smart program presented
Cathy Brady, extension educator from Fayette County, Penn State Cooperative Extension, and Doreen Bugai, American Diabetes Advocate and A1C Champion, recently presented an assembly on eating smart and playing hard for first through third-grade students at Lafayette School in Uniontown. This hands-on assembly, entitled “Eat Smart, Play Hard’ from the USDA uses the cartoon character “Power Panther’ to get the message across to children about eating smart and playing hard. Others schools where they recently presented the assembly include Ben Franklin, Franklin Township Elementary and the Kindergarten Center in Uniontown.
