Man charged

State police said Timothy David Danko, 39, of Bobtown was charged with simple assault after he kicked Kathleen Hansen, also of Bobtown, in the chest and hit her in the head with a table at a home on South Willis Street at 7 a.m. Sunday. Danko was placed in the Greene County Prison following his arraignment, police said.

Justin Ankrom, 22, of Greensboro was charged with retail theft after he stole several toy cars from a store on East High Street at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

State police said several parts of a lawn mower owned by Jean Dillinger of Dilliner were stolen from her home on Taylortown Road between 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.

Ronald McFall of Newell told Southwest Regional police that a .380-caliber pistol was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Morgan Street sometime Wednesday, police said.

State police said an 86-year-old woman and an 85-year-old-man got into a physical altercation during a dispute over who was going to trim weeds at a home on Pleasant Valley Road at 7 p.m. Sunday.

State police said at least five guns owned by Edward Smith of Connellsville were stolen from his home on Plymouth Street between midnight and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Crystal Hunnell, 27, of Brownsville, was charged with criminal mischief after she damaged a door at Saulies Motel in Point Marion with a car jack at 8:28 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

State police said Robert Metts of Markleysburg and an unidentified 13-year-old were injured when an all-terrain-vehicle driven by Metts overturned on Caney Road at 6:47 p.m. Friday.

Teen charged

State police said a 16-year-old Brownsville boy was charged with harassment after he struck Troy Brady, also of Brownsville, in the face at a location near Water Street Saturday.

Jeffrey Romantic of Pittsburgh told state police that a DVD player, a digital camera, a camcorder, four model planes, two bicycles, a lawn mower and other items were stolen from a storage shed on Franklin Drive between 6 p.m. May 6 and 10 p.m. Sunday, police said.

State police said a 2006 Yamaha all-terrain-vehicle owned by Eric Means of Everson was stolen from a home on Painter Street between 4 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Jerry Hixon of Scottdale told state police that a credit card he owns was stolen and used to make purchases sometime between Wednesday and Friday, police said.

Charges are pending against a 31-year-old Oakland, Md. man accused of driving under the influence of alcohol after the pickup truck he was driving overturned on Route 40 at 1:58 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Nicholas Capan, 21, of New Salem was charged with criminal mischief after he damaged a window owned by Alexandria Walls of Carmichaels at a home on Route 21 at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.
