James J. Ramsey, 63, of Wickhaven, Pa., died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in the Veterans Hospital in Aspenwall, Pa.

He… James J. Ramsey, 63, of Wickhaven, Pa., died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in the Veterans Hospital in Aspenwall, Pa.

He was born February 3, 1944, in Wickhaven, Pa., the son of the late Drexell and Ethel Jean (Moon) Ramsey.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Ramsey.

James was a lifelong resident of Wickhaven, Pa. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was employed at Westinghouse East Pittsburgh Plant until an injury forced his retirement. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Whitsett, Pa.

He is survived by one brother, William (Billy) Ramsey of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters: Carolyn Ikard and Judy Taliaferro both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four daughters:Christina Sechrist-Edwards of Las Vegas, Nevada, Monica Ramsey-Perry and Shesha Skaggs of Arnold City, Pa. and Yolanda Stover of Maryland; two sons: Scott Acton of Arizona, and Josh Acton of Florida; four grandchildren: Jahnai, Jahlik, Bruce, Naquwan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a lifelong love, Peggy Ramsey-Stover of California, Pa.

Family and friends will be received Friday, May 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the

PILGRIM REST BAPTIST CHURCH, Whitsett, Pa., where funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donna Jean Lowe officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the BEVERLY C. DRAPER
