Nominations being accepted for Athena award

Nominations are being accepted for the 17th annual Athena award, presented by the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. The award honors a successful, professional woman who leads by example and inspires her community.

Nominees must meet each of three specific criteria:

– Demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her business or profession.

– Provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in the community.

– Assists other women in reaching their full leadership potential.

The Athena award is recognized internationally as the premier honor bestowed upon its recipients by businesses, professionals and community leaders. Since 1991, the Allegheny Conference has honored an outstanding woman in our region who significantly helps other women achieve professional excellence.
