She was born February 9, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa.
Mrs. Yowler was employed at the Pentagon during World War II and later returned to Uniontown where she worked at the now former Bell Telephone Company and also the W. H. Farwell Company.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Adam Buchheit and Anna Crossan Buchheit, her husband, Marling W. “Willy” Yowler on April 18, 2006, and a brother, Charles F. “Dutch” Buchheit.
Surviving are two sons: Marling K. Yowler of Uniontown, Pa., and Bruce W. Yowler and his wife, Debra, of Hopwood, Pa.; four grandchildren: Kathy Mankin and her husband, Donald, of Uniontown, Pa., Marling “Butchie” Yowler and his fiancee, Tiffany, of Columbia, South Carolina, Laurie Panetta and her husband, J. C., of Cumberland, Maryland, and Angela Yowler of Orlando, Florida; two great-grandchildren: Noah Rankin and Hannah Rankin; brother, Adam G. Buchheit and his wife, Charlotte, and a sister, Palm Duncan, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her loving family.
Family will receive friends in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 30, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.
