Zelda Matthews Hagar, age 100, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007, in her home.

She was… Zelda Matthews Hagar, age 100, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007, in her home.

She was born March 27, 1907, in Mount Independence, Pa., daughter of Charles and Emma (Zebley) Matthews.

Mrs. Hagar was a member of the Percy United Methodist Church, the Pamona Grange and the Ridgeview Grange.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert W. Hagar, daughter, Yvonne Hopwood, and these sisters and brothers: Edith Rishel, Mary Newcomer, Mae Crawford, Betty Smitley, Henry Matthews, Carroll Matthews, Robert Matthews and Melissa Triplett.

Surviving are these children: Jacqueline Maddis Stronko of Coolspring, Pa., Robert W. Hagar Jr. of Port Orange, Florida, and Jill Hagar of Pompano Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., on Tuesday, May 29, from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 31, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Services with Pastor Roger Yeager officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
