Francis (Bud) Schnatterly, 81, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007, in Lafayette Manor.

He was… Francis (Bud) Schnatterly, 81, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007, in Lafayette Manor.

He was born August 24, 1925.

Francis was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of of VFW Post 47 and AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.

He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Schnatterly and a sister, Lad Crawford.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha (Lerch) Schnatterly; daughter, Sandra Humbert and husband, Ron of Uniontown, Pa.; two sons: Francis (Buddy) Schnatterly and wife, Karen of Cranberry, Pa. and William (Billy) Schnatterly and wife, Michelle of Chalkhill, Pa.; five grandchildren: (His Girl) Leann Hardin and husband, Skip of Lemont Furnace, Nicole Knee and Scott of Hollidaysburg, Pa., Matthew Humbert of Uniontown, Bryce Schnatterly of Cranberry and Alexandra Schnatterly of Cranberry; his two special great-grand-children: Drew and Austin Hardin of Lemont Furnace; and his nephews and nieces.

Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, today, May 31 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, June 1 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Justin Argabright officiating.

Full Military Rites will be accorded graveside at Sylvan Heights by Hopwood AMVETS Post 103.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent of Martha Schnatterly in care of the funeral home.
