Hopwood Web site to benefit community
So, did you hear about what’s going on in Hopwood? Well, if you haven’t you should go to hopwood.ourburbs.com (no www) and find out. This Hopwood Web site is one of the newest adventures that the Interactive Media Department of the Herald-Standard (yes, the same group of people that bring you Spin It) has undertaken, and the best part about it is that you get to create all of the content that goes on it.
I know you’re intrigued, so let me tell you a little more about it.
This site is what we call community-generated in the I-Media world, and that means that it is designed specifically with members of the community in mind. And in this case, Hopwood. I mean, who knows about their community better than the people that live, breathe and work there? But, you don’t have to be from Hopwood to use the site. Maybe you just want to find out where the heck Hopwood is, find a restaurant there or maybe some history about the town. It’s all there.
Another big, big feature of the site is blogging. We have quite a few members that currently belong to the site, including myself and the other members of the Spin It staff. And it’s so easy to register. What better way to talk to your neighbors about local schools, businesses, youth, and any other topics that interest you?
So, whether you like Hopwood (like I do) or you hate Hopwood, go to hopwood.ourburbs.com and let everyone in the community know about it.
