Uniontown police said Dominick Polito III of Uniontown was cited for careless driving and not wearing a seat belt following a traffic stop at the intersection of Church Street and Gallatin Avenue at 1:37 p.m. Sunday.

Uniontown police said Nikia Williams, 28, of Uniontown was cited with harassment for allegedly calling her mother, Twila Conway of Uniontown, and leaving threatening messages Sunday afternoon. Police said Williams was sent the citation by summons.

Harley E. Layman of Smock was cited for having an open container of alcohol in a moving vehicle following a traffic stop at the intersection of South Gallatin Avenue and East Main Street at 3:24 p.m. Sunday, Uniontown police said.

Keith Lewis of Uniontown reported his home at 26 Prospect St. was shot with a BB gun around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, city police said. Police said the suspect is believed to be a Uniontown boy, noting that the incident is under investigation.

Uniontown police said Larry F. Shaw, 26, of Uniontown was cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly trying to set sticks on fire at Bailey Park on Dunbar Street around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Uniontown police said David A. Tate of Uniontown was issued traffic citations, including two citations for not having children restrained in safety seats, following a traffic stop at the intersection of South Gallatin Avenue and Fayette Street at 4:54 p.m. Sunday. Police said Tate’s vehicle was towed to his home because he did not have a valid driver’s license.

Robert Cummings, 50, of Uniontown was issued several traffic citations for reckless driving following a traffic stop in the area of Fayette Street at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Uniontown police said.

Pills stolen

Sylvia Moore of Uniontown reported about 45 pills were stolen from her pants pocket around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Uniontown police said. Moore allegedly told police a known woman was in her Pershing Court home and removed the pills from the pants.

Man grabbed

State police said John O’Brien, 45, of Uniontown was cited with harassment after he allegedly grabbed Pamela Bendishaw, 44, of Uniontown by the neck during a domestic disturbance at 115 Walnut St. at 2:40 a.m. Sunday.

Runaway found

State police said a 15-year-old girl reported as a runaway was found at a residence on Breakiron Road at 9:10 a.m. Sunday. Police said the girl was taken into protective custody and turned over to Fayette County Children and Youth Services.

Hit-and-run reported

State police said a 26-year-old Uniontown man fled after crashing his vehicle into a 16-year-old Uniontown girl who was standing in a parking lot in North Union Township talking to Amy Minerd of Scottdale and Keith Greenawalt of Hunker, who were sitting in a vehicle at 10:15 p.m. March 20. Police said the man then crashed his vehicle into the Minder and Greenawalt’s vehicle. Police did not say if the teenage girl or Minerd and Greenawalt suffered injuries as a result of the crash.

Vehicle damaged

Michael Risher of Connellsville reported the passenger side window of his vehicle was broke while the vehicle was parked at Sherwood Circle between 6 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, state police said. Police said the windshield also was shattered. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Trooper Aaron Gilbert at 724-439-7111.

Southwest Regional police charged one juvenile for harassment after allegedly pushing another juvenile into a fence at 400 Coal Alley Sunday evening, police said.

Southwest Regional police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against a 29-year-old Hopwood woman who was pulled over around 3 a.m. Sunday near Arch Street.

Southwest Regional police reported that Jesse Lee Ward reported a digital music player was stolen between March 29 and 31. The player is valued at $450.

Accident reported

State police reported no injuries in an accident on Brick Road around 1:30 a.m. March 20. Police identified the driver as Alex N. Pounds II, 27, of Connellsville. The vehicle driven by Pounds, police said, hit a parked car.

Parked vehicle hit

State police reported that Derek A. Thomas, 20, of Uniontown hit a parked vehicle on Whyle Avenue around 1:30 a.m. March 26. Police listed Nessa M. Teets, 18, and William C. Kinley, 19, both of Lemont Furnace, as passengers in the car.

Items stolen

State police said an all-terrain vehicle and a dirt bike were stolen from a detached garage at 347 Puritan Village Road between Thursday and Sunday.

Theft attempted

State police said that someone tried to climb a telephone pole on Mountain Road and cut cable that belonged to Verizon between Friday and Saturday.

North Union Twp.

Vehicles collide

State police reported a two-vehicle accident on Pittsburgh Road around 9:15 a.m. March 18. Police identified the drivers as Gregory J. Pryor, 48, of Fayette City and David W. Scott, 53, of Uniontown. No one was injured, police said.

South Union Twp.

Theft reported

Robert Keith Quairiere of Uniontown reported that someone broke the passenger side window of his car, and then stole $200 from the glove box, state police said.
