SISTERS OF CHARITY at St. Mary Church convent, Uniontown, are planning a June 3 bus trip to see Abraham and Sarah at the Living Water Theater in Lancaster for the 1 p.m. show. Cost is $97 and includes show, transportation, dinner at Shady Maples Smorgasbord. Bus will leave at 7 a.m. from the parking lot behind St. Mary Nativity Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, and stop at Bob Evans for breakfast (on your own) along the way. Reservations must be made by May 13. Call Sister Annette Frey, S.C., at 724-437-5478 to place reservations. CONNELLSVILLE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB (B.P.W.) will meet on May 5 at Nancy’s Fancy Tea Room, Connellsville. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner, business meeting, and program featuring the Girls of the Year from Connellsville Area Senior High School and Geibel Catholic High School begin at 6 p.m. Members, prospective members, and interested parties are invited to attend. Reservations are required and must be made by Friday with Ruth at 724-628-7186.
CBM MINISTRIES, SWPA DIVISION, will hold a garage sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday on Route 88 north, across from the Carmichaels Golf Course. There will be new and collectible items available and will benefit CBM’s Released Time Bible program in Greene and Fayette counties. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day.
UNIONTOWN COLLEGE CLUB will hold its annual spring luncheon at noon Saturday at Mt. Summit Inn. Scholarships will be awarded to three senior girls from local high schools. Michelle Wright, co-anchor with Pittsburgh WTAE-TV will be guest speaker.
