Weltz Sr., age 75, of Addison, Pa., our cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Oak Hill Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg, Pa.
He was the son of Edwin Weltz and Alice Bowman Weltz.
Paul was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of The Knights of Columbus Great Meadows Council Fort Necessity 9584. He served as a Grand Knight for two years in Livingston, Texas.
He was retired from B & P Motors and had been employed for two years at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Edwin Wallace Welt and Charles Raymond Weltz, and a sister, Anna Lynn Nesbitt.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Joanne Vargosko Weltz; sons: Paul Weltz Jr. of Herndon, Virginia, Alan J. Weltz of Houston, Texas, Mark A. Weltz of Amburst, Pa., and Duane W. Weltz of Addison, Pa.; daughters: Joyce Dalicandro of Greensburg, Pa., Paula Weltz of Uniontown, Pa., and Diane Logan of Springs, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters: Linda Vencent and Joretta Kirby both of Raeford, North Carolina.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29, 2008, until 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Farmington, with the Rev. Father James Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Visitation Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania.
The Knights of Columbus will stand Honor Guard in the Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.
