Kara Jeanine Goodwin of Claysville and Raymond Hlatky Jr., also of Claysville, were united in marriage June 14 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Rev. Larry Freeman heard the exchange of marriage vows. The bride is the daughter of Ralph Smalley of Adah and Cindy Ferland of Redhouse, W.Va.

The bridegroom is the son of Marsha Evans of Greensburg and the late Raymond Hlatky Sr.

The bride wore a white strapless satin gown with beaded crystals adorning the bodice and chapel train. Her headpiece was a crystal tiara.

The bride and groom both graduated from Tri-Valley Senior High School. She is a sales representative for U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co., and he employed as a welder with C&J Welding and Construction LLC.

The couple honeymooned at Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

They reside in Claysville.
