Golden II, age 64, of Little Brownfield, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Saturday morning, August 2, 2008, with his family by his side in Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, Pa.
He was born February 1, 1944, in Hibbs, Pa., the son of Donna Glover Shiner and Edward L. Golden.
“Ed” was a former employee of the Uniontown Hospital.
He was a Professional Painter for over 40 years.
He was a Lifetime Member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club in Hopwood
He enjoyed gardening, camping at Big Bear Lake Campgrounds, hunting with the boys, listening to “oldies” and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog “Poo”.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Shirley Robbins and Sandy Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda J. McCormick Golden; his children: Pam Pahuly and her husband John of Uniontown, Pa., Edward Golden and Francis Brooks of Uniontown, Pa., Tammy Pruitt and her husband Daryl of Orlando, Florida, and Shawn Golden and his wife Susan of Uniontown, Pa.; his six grandsons and two granddaughters whom he adored; and one great grandson. “Ed” is also survived by his brother, Ted Golden of Uniontown, Pa.; his sisters: Zola Messenger of Uniontown, Shelly Hoover of Harrisburg, Pa., Annabelle Smithburger of Gibbon Glade, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenues, Uniontown, Pa., today, August 4, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 6, 2008, until 11:30 a.m. when Funeral Services will be held with Pastor Barry Adkins officiating.
Interment follows in Mount Macrina Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
