Martin A. Rebish, 82, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

He was born November 5, 1925, in… Martin A. Rebish, 82, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

He was born November 5, 1925, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., the son of the late John and Mary Unetich Rebish.

Martin was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, Sokol Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Gold Star, Post 7023 all in Perryopolis, Pa. He was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Statzula Rebish; three sons: Martin Rebish of Canton, Ohio, Robert Rebish and wife, Henrietta of Smithton, Pa., John Rebish and wife, Holly of Easley, South Carolina, and three daughters: Linda Rebish of Canonsburg, Ava Cooley and husband, Scott of Taylors, South Carolina, and Vicki Muccioli and husband, Nick of Star Junction, Pa. He was a proud and loving grandfather of eight: Eric Rebish, Angela Van Dorston and husband, Eric, Marty Rebish and wife, Melissa, Leah Muccioli, Jamie Muccioli, Hunter Cooley, Vincent Muccioli and Anthony Muccioli. Martin is also survived by three sisters: Frances Marchinchin of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Hayes of Lady Lake, Florida, and Eustene Oberly and husband, Jacob of Uniontown, Pa.; and two brothers: Joseph of Plano, Texas, and Rudy of Lake Worth, Florida; plus many nieces and nephews.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, John, Frank, August and Anthony.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa. The Rev. Father Bob Lubic Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis. Military Rites will be accorded by the VFW Gold Star, Post 7023 and the American Legion, Post 752 of Perryopolis, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 100 Stoops Drive, Suite 300, Monongahela, PA 15063 or St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa.
