Uniontown cites property owners

Uniontown code enforcement officer Myron Nypaver filed 11 citations against eight property owners for alleged property maintenance violations that were observed on July 4. Court hearings are pending on the citations.

Three citations were filed against Chris Ross of 126 Church Hill Road, Dunbar, for property he owns at 348 Coolspring St. The citations are for an unsafe structure, accumulation of rubbish and overgrown property.

The unsafe structure citation alleges a house on the property was damaged, dilapidated and in danger of collapsing.

The other citations said there was a large amount of garbage throughout the yard and two abandoned structures, and weeds and plants in excess of 10 inches tall.

Two citations were filed against Louis Scheggia of Chalk Hill for a vacant property he owns at 48 Collins Ave. The citations are for an unsafe vacant structure and overgrown property.

The unsafe structure citation alleges a vacant house was damaged, dilapidated and is in danger of collapsing. The other citation said weeds were in excess of 10 inches tall.

An overgrown property citation filed against Kelly Bradigan of 20 Summit Ave., Uniontown, alleges weeds on her property exceed 10 inches tall.

An overgrown property citation filed against Thomas Crawford of 29 John St., Uniontown, alleges weeds were taller than 10 inches on a property he owns at 198 Connellsville St.

An unsafe structure citation filed against August Zelmore of Smithfield alleges a house he owns at 190 Connellsville St. is damaged, dilapidated, unsecured and dangerous.

An overgrown property citation filed against Lawrence Georgiana of Uniontown alleges weed growth in excess of 10 inches on a property he owns at 64 Lincoln St.

A citation filed against Kenneth Ashton of Hopwood alleges garbage had accumulated over the entire exterior of property he owns at 211 Lenox St.

An overgrown property citation filed against Edgar Skiles of 30 S. Main St., Fairchance, alleges excessive weed growth created harborage for animals at a property he owns at 42-44 Whiteman Ave.
