Charges filed Dillon Patrick Nelson, 20, of Waynesburg was charged with possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness following an incident on Route 188 in Franklin Twp. at 12:15 p.m. July 17, state police said.
Vehicle recovered
State police said a car owned by Autumn Marisa of Radnor that had been reported stolen was recovered on July 28 on Water Dam Road in Franklin Twp. Police said the radio had been stolen from the vehicle.
Man charged
Richard Broadwater, 38, of Carmichaels was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident involving Rose Meadows, also of Carmichaels, on Route 21 in Cumberland Twp. at 8:30 a.m. July 27, state police said.
Car crashes
No one was injured when a car driven by a 17-year-old Carmichaels girl crashed on Route 21 in Franklin Twp. at 10:50 p.m. July 30, state police said.
Charges pending
Charges for drunken driving are pending against a Carmichaels man following a traffic stop on Route 51 in North Union Twp., Fayette County, at 6:45 a.m. July 29, state police said.
Theft reported
State police said a jackhammer owned by the state Department of Transportation was stolen from a truck in Whitely Twp. at 11:50 a.m. July 30, as the truck was parked off of the southbound Kirby exit at the intersection of State Rt. 2018.
Fire reported
A portable toilet owned by Allan’s Waste Water Services of Holbrook was destroyed by fire at a construction site in Dunkard Twp. between 6 p.m. July 29 and 8 a.m. July 30, state police said.
Wire stolen
State police said copper wire owned by Hei Tech Inc. of Morgantown, W.Va., was stolen from a construction site on Baker Drive in Franklin Twp. between 5 p.m. July 29 and 6:30 a.m. July 30.
Theft reported
A global-positioning system (GPS) owned by Shaft Drillers International of Morgantown, W.Va., was stolen from a business on Miller Drive in Franklin Twp. between 9 p.m. July 28 and 7 a.m. July 29, state police said.
Aluminum stolen
State police said approximately 1,100 feet of underground conductor aluminum/copper wire and approximately 1,000 feet of 600-volt aluminum service conductor wire owned by Allegheny Power was stolen from a stockyard on Rt. 188 in Jefferson Twp. between 4 p.m. July 27 and 6 a.m. July 29.
Theft reported
State police said a camera, a global-positioning system (GPS) and tools owned by Matt Crist of Williamsport were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at a business in Franklin Twp. sometime between July 27 and July 28.
Home broken into
State police in Waynesburg said a 14-year-old Clarksville boy broke into the home of Terry and Gina O’Neal of Clarksville between 8 a.m. Aug. 1 and 1 a.m. Aug. 4 while they were on vacation. Nothing was stolen or damaged, police said.
Burglary reported
William Muhly of Clarksville reported that someone broke into his Center Street home and stole alcohol and money between July 19 and Aug. 2, state police said.
Man cited
State police in Waynesburg cited Michael Slater of New Freeport for harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly punched Robin Myers of Morgantown, W.Va., in the face and broke his glasses at a home on Six Run Road in Gilmore Twp. at 3:23 p.m. Aug. 3, police said.
Woman cited
Diane A. Kelly, 51, of Carmichaels was cited for disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness after she allegedly hit an emergency service provider who was treating an unidentified patient outside of Woodside Manor in Carmichaels at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 2, state police said. According to police, Kelly hit Randy Pritchard Sr., who is employed by Southwest EMS, in the face with a ball cap.
Charges pending
State police said driving under the influence of alcohol charges are pending against a 47-year-old Masontown man who was stopped for erratic driving on Route 21 at the Masontown Bridge in Monongahela Twp. at 8:13 p.m. Aug. 2.
Man cited
James E. Thomas of Waynesburg was cited for public drunkenness for allegedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot of a restaurant on Route 21 in Franklin Twp. at 2:20 p.m. Aug. 2, state police said.
Citation issued
State police said James Moore of Greensboro was cited for public drunkenness after he was found pounding on the door of a home on Old Waynesburg Road in Cumberland Twp. at 6:58 a.m. Aug. 1.
Teenager cited
State police said James Maskill, 19, of Clarksville was cited for underage drinking after being found under the influence of alcohol following an incident at Teagarden Homes in Morgan Twp. at 3:50 a.m. Aug. 2.
Report issued
State police in Waynesburg said 862 incidents were reported to the barracks in July.
Among them, were 184 criminal incidents, all of which were founded. Police said 125 were cleared, resulting in 143 arrests.
Police said there were 40 crashes investigated, none of which were fatal, though nine people were injured.
Two of those crashes were hit-and-run accidents and six were the result of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police listed 17 DUI-related arrests, and said they issued 440 citations and 399
