Uniontown BPU opens new office
BPU Investment Management Inc. has opened an office in Uniontown.
Robert Unkovic, president of BPU Investment Management Inc., said, “We are excited about the opportunity to serve our existing and new clients in the Uniontown area.”

Lonigro honored
Sebastian Salvatore Lonigro, chief executive officer and owner of Alliance Health Wraparound Inc., Uniontown, has been named Cambridge Who’s Who executive of the year in mental health services.
Only two male and two female members in each discipline are named to Cambridge Who’s Who executive of the year. The Cambridge committee selects those honored based on their accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership and service.
Lonigro has more than 48 years of professional experience, the last 13 of which have been in his current position. Aside from overseeing daily operations of the business, Lonigro is responsible for supervising employees, training, conducting psychological evaluations and representing the company’s image.
Alliance Healthy Wraparound Inc. is a mental health care center that serves autistic children and supports their family with diagnosis and therapy. Lonigro attributes his success to his dedication, kindness and his decision-making skills. Lonigro, a certified psychologist, received his master’s degree in counseling from Duquesne University in 1972 and his master’s degree in supervision from West Virginia University in 1967.

Clements joins firm
Howard, “Hoddy” Hanna, CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, and Keith D. Myers, manager of Howard Hanna Myers Real Estate in Uniontown, have announced that Jason M. Clements has been named a residential sales associate in the Uniontown office.
Clements is a graduate of Connellsville Area Senior High School and received his real estate education through Polley Associates in Greensburg. He also has a career as a professional wrestler for the NWA with the stage name of Brandon K and had been a former performer for the WWE. He resides in Bear Rocks with his wife, Kristy, and son, Andrew.

FedFirst announces income
FedFirst Financial Corp., the parent company of First Federal Savings Bank, has announced net income of $65,000 for the three months ended June 30 compared to a net loss of $58,000 for the three months ended June 30, 2007. Basic and diluted earnings (loss) per share were 1 cent for the three months ended June 30 compared to 1 cent for the three months ended June 30, 2007.
Year-to-date, the company reported net income of $333,000 compared to a net loss of $1.0 million for the same period in the prior year.
Basic and diluted earnings (loss) per share were 6 cents for the six months ended June 30 compared to 16 cents for the same period in the prior year. Year-to-date results for 2007 include the effects of the previously disclosed restructuring of the securities portfolio, which resulted in the recognition of a $1.4 million loss.
Mr. Robinson, president and chief executive officer of the company, stated, “Amid the unstable conditions in the financial industry, we have continued to execute our plan to prudently build our core banking business. We are pleased with our growth in net interest income, noninterest income, deposits and loans.”

The Center for Laser Skin Enhancement in Farmington is offering at-home microdermabrasion parties. Hosts or hostesses invite six or 12 guests to their home for a microdermabrasion treatment. For every six treatments purchased, the host or hostess will receive one complimentary treatment and an extra treatment if they hold a party prior to Sept. 30.
A trained and certified technician administers the treatment with a portable machine. Microdermabrasion gets rid of dull skin, fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, or acne scars, Linda C. Martin, owner of the Center for Laser Skin Enhancement, said.
