He was born October 22, 1934, in Smock, Pa., the son of Peter Papincak and Theresa Tokar Papincak O’Lear.
Michael graduated from Uniontown High School.
He, a retired steelworker, had been employed by United States Steel Corporation.
Michael was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, Leisenring, Pa., and a social member of the West Leisenring Firemen’s Club.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and a very big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and camping.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, a son, David Papincak, and one brother, Joseph Papincak.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose Klippi Papincak; two sons: Wayne M. Papincak and his wife Debra of Juniata, Pa., and Mark Papincak and his wife Diane of Smithfield, Pa.; three grandchildren: Patti Carlson and her husband Randy, Wayne B. Papincak and Melissa Papincak; one great grandson, James Carlson; one sister, Mary Carolla of Uniontown, Pa.; two brothers: George Papincak and his wife Helen of Uniontown, Pa., and John Papincak and his wife Dolores of McKeesport, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Papincak of Ohio.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 10:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 11 a.m in Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, Leisenring, with the Rev. Monsignor J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
The Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
