Hearing continued

By The 1 min read

A preliminary hearing scheduled for today for a Uniontown man accused of hiding a laboratory to grow marijuana in the attic of his home has been continued. Uniontown police Detective Donald M. Gmitter said charges for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed in Uniontown in mid-July against Myles Reilly, 28, of 57 E. Berkeley St.

Gmitter said the charges were filed after police discovered the lab to grow marijuana plants, as well as a cigar box with drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Gmitter also said that through additional interviews, police learned that about 13 marijuana plants more than 12 inches tall had been growing in the attic, but the plants were discovered by a family member and discarded several weeks before the police discovered the lab.

The hearing has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 16 in Uniontown.
