Elizabeth L. Gerba, 83, of Lemoyne, Pa. and formerly of Brownsville, Pa. passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008 at… Elizabeth L. Gerba, 83, of Lemoyne, Pa. and formerly of Brownsville, Pa. passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home.
She was born December 25, 1924 in Vestaburg, Pa., daughter of Kenneth and Louise Arnold Bachman.
Elizabeth was a graduate of the Brownsville Hospital School of Nursing and a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Drives.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Gerba, sister, Lois L. Pohill and brother, Kenneth Bachman.
She is survived by her daughter Joyce L. Palakovich and husband John A. of Camp Hill, Pa.; son, George K. Gerba and wife Irene of Spring Grove, Pa.; 3 granddaughters: Katherine Lang, Julie Palakovich Carr and Lauren Gerba and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa. on Monday from 9:30 until 11 a.m., the Hour of the Funeral Service with Reverend Roland O’Brien officiating.
Entombment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in her name to Habitat for Humanity, 148 West Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 or to the American Red Cross 225 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
