Kachmarek-Harshman
Susan Harshman of Connellsville and Jeff Kachmarek of Acme were united in marriage in a Celtic-themed ceremony March 17 at Bud Murphy’s in Connellsville with Magisterial District Judge Roger Eckels presiding. A reception for immediate family and friends followed.
The bride’s son, Stephen Andursky, gave the bride in marriage. The bride and bridegroom wore kilts of Irish tartan.
Matron of honor was Mary Lou Ross. Steve Kachmarek was best man for his brother.
An affirmation of vows followed on March 29 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Connellsville with the Rev. Dennis Roser presiding.
The bride wore an ivory gown with scooped sweetheart neckline, long sleeves with Alencon lace appliqu?s, A-line skirt, and chapel train, all adorned with crystal sequins and pearls.
Bridesmaids were Erica Basinger, daughter of the bride; Elizabeth Trump, Cathy Harshman, sisters of the bride; Sharon Kachmarek, sister-in-law of the bride.
Groomsmen were Ed Elko, John Brown, Robin Cochenour, Greg Bednar and John Kachmarek III, brother of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the Kosciuszko Club in Mount Pleasant.
The bride graduated from Connellsville Area High School and is employed with West Penn Goods as a general manager at Wendy’s Old-fashioned Hamburgers.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School, the University of Pittsburgh and George Washington University. He is a registered nurse and is employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.
The coupled honeymooned at Ocean City, Md. They are planning a wedding trip to Ireland in 2009.
The newlyweds are living in Bullskin Township.
