Vehicle damaged Vito Dragone Jr., 64, of Uniontown told state police that vandals caused an estimated $500 in damage to his vehicle between noon and 12:45 p.m. Thursday, while it was parked at the Uniontown Mall in South Union Township.

Drug charges filed
Drug charges were filed recently against Derek Andrew Thomas, 19, of Prospect Street, Uniontown, after he was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and a scale at 3:43 p.m. June 27 on Route 40 at Jumonville Road in North Union Township.

Vehicle scratched
Russella Lowe, 54, of Smithfield told state police that vandals scratched the driver’s side of her 1992 Ford Taurus sometime between 2 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday, while it was parked at 100 Mark Drive, Apt. 3, in Springhill Township.

Bicycle stolen
Kelly Basinger, 22, of Connellsville told state police that her bicycle was stolen from her porch sometime between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Thursday at 107 Boyd St., Dunbar Township.

Truck recovered
State police recovered a stolen red and white 1995 Dodge Ram dually truck at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, while it was parked on Old Braddock Road about one-quarter mile south of 515 Old Braddock Road.

Theft reported
State police are investigating a theft that occurred between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday at 1704 Ridge Blvd., Dunbar Township.
Jim Garrett Munson, 48, of Ridge Boulevard, Connellsville, told police that thieves stole welding lead from a welding machine in his yard. The lead is approximately 250 feet of cooper wire with a black casing.

A utility vehicle was stolen sometime between midnight Tuesday and 3 p.m. Saturday from a wooded area at Oil & Gas Drilling, located behind 1323 Walnut Hill Road, German Township, state police said.

Tools stolen
John Korba Contracting of Scottdale told state police that thieves stole an air compressor and two nail guns sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 4 p.m. Tuesday on Ranch Road in Dunbar Township.

Simple assault reported
State police are investigating a simple assault incident that occurred at 4:28 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Exxon station at 25 Main St., Smithfield.
Police said simple assault and harassment charges were filed against Gary Lynn Brozik, 44, of Uniontown and Tara Lurranna Keith, 30, of Masontown before District Justice Randy Abraham.
Brozik and Keith were allegedly involved in a verbal argument with the victim, Sharon Joy Brozik, 58, of Smithfield over the use of a vehicle.
Sharon Joy Brozik was struck in the head and arm and was transported to the Uniontown Hospital for evaluation, police said.
South Union Twp.
Assault reported
State police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred at 2:40 a.m. Saturday at 456 Clarendon Ave., South Union Township.
Police said that Steven T. Suchevits, 40, and Brian Cavanagh, 41, both of Uniontown, struck David Lincoln Lee, 39, of Lemont Furnace in the head with a metal folding chair.
Suchevits and Cavanagh then fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
Lee suffered multiple lacerations to his head and was treated at the Uniontown Hospital. Arrest warrants were obtained for both Suchevits and Cavanagh.

Pool damaged
Donna Sage, 61, of 1732 Second St., South Connellsville, told state police that vandals punctured a swimming pool with an unknown pointed object at 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday at her home.

Gravel stolen
Timothy Ackley of Waynesburg told state police that approximately four tons of gravel was stolen sometime between 7 a.m. Aug. 4 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 14 from 112 W. Railroad Road in Washington Township, Greene County.

Woman injured
Kathryn Stevenson suffered minor injuries at 12:09 p.m. Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on Stoney Hill Road, Monongahela Township, Greene County, state police said.
Police said Stevenson was treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. The accident occurred when vehicles driven by Stevenson and James Vernon, 46, collided.

Burglary reported
State police said burglars entered Erjavek’s Restaurant, located along Route 88 in Dunkard Township, Greene County, sometime between 2 and 4 p.m. Friday and stole an empty cash register.

Copper stolen
Thieves stole approximately 600 pounds of copper sometime between 5 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday from Levine Iron & Metal, located at 514 W. High St. in Franklin Township, Greene County.
South Union Twp.
Burglary reported
Susan Eileen Heilman, 38, of 510 Thomas Drive, South Union Township, told state police that a white purse containing a wallet with $700 in cash and various cards was stolen sometime between 1 and 10 a.m. Saturday.
Heilman said burglars entered her residence possibly through an unsecured garage door. Once inside, burglars proceeded to the dining room located on the south side of the residence.
Police said burglars fled the scene undetected. Anyone with any information is asked to call state police at 724-439-7111.

Theft reported
Timothy Paul Etling, 41, and Paula Jean Etling, 36, both of Connellsville, told state police that nine bottles of liquor and $580 in cash was stolen recently from their home at 207 Rilla Ave., Bullskin Township.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Connellsville Twp.
Two injured
Deborah Ann Rulli, 48, and Michael Edward Rulli, 22, both of Connellsville, suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash along East Crawford Avenue (Route 711), just south of Newport Road in Connellsville Township, state police said.
Police said the vehicle driven by Deborah Ann Rulli also damaged two retaining walls owned by Hillcrest Mobile Home Estates.
A passenger in the vehicle, Michael Edward Rulli, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, state police said.
The Connellsville Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
Redstone Twp.
Traffic violations
John Bailey, 19, and Joshua Bailey, 20, both of New Salem, were cited for operating a quad and a dirt bike on the streets in Cardale, Redstone Township, in an unsafe manner at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Police said numerous traffic citations were filed at District Justice Michael Defino’s office.

Window damage
Brownsville Borough police said vandals shot the front window of the Medicine Shoppe at 63 Market St., Brownsville, with a paint ball gun at 11:41 p.m. Thursday, leaving paint on the window.
