Martin “Mutzy” Keder Jr., 82, of Daisytown, Pa., died Monday, August 18, 2008.
He was born Monday, September 21, 1925,… Martin “Mutzy” Keder Jr., 82, of Daisytown, Pa., died Monday, August 18, 2008.
He was born Monday, September 21, 1925, in Daisytown, Pa., a son of the late Martin Keder Sr. and Maria (Stempel) Keder.
Martin graduated from East Pike Run High School. He was retired from Gross Furniture Company, was a member of the Centerville Legion and was very active in the Daisytown Athletic Club where he served as a trustee. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charleroi.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Mutzy enjoyed watching sports, especially the Steelers, and treasured visits with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Danyi.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Ellen Wright Keder; two sons: Martin and Keith Keder, both of Daisytown, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Dominic Piccolomini of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren: Dante, Maria, Mario and Angelina Piccolomini; two sisters: Adele Taylor of Sacramento, Calif., and Eleanor and husband Peter Petroff of California, Pa.; niece, Patrice Petroff; two nephews: Peter Petroff and Michael Taylor; and many, many friends at the Daisytown A/C Club.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME, INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Thursday August 21, 2008, from 2 to 9 p.m. and until 10:30 a.m. on Friday when funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Zeman officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
