Bridge to close for repairs
Bennington Spring Run Bridge on Hopwood-Coolspring Road in North Union Township soon will be closed to replace the bridge deck. The state Department of Transportation said the work area is located between Woodstock Avenue and Madison Avenue in Hopwood.
The closure will be in place beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday through Friday Nov. 14. The closure timeframe is dependant on weather and the delivery of materials, PennDOT said.
PennDOT recommends drivers use Route 40, Connellsville Street, Coolspring Road and then back onto Hopwood-Coolspring Road (Route 2023).
PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution in the construction area.
