Church to hold spaghetti dinner
The youth group at the First Nazarene Church will host a spaghetti dinner for the community Friday, Feb 1 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The proceeds from the dinner will go to help the youth group students pay for a mission trip to Panama this summer.
There is no set price for the dinner, but donations will be appreciated.
The spaghetti will be prepared by John and Sally Knisley and Gary Broadwater, who attend the church.
According to Chad Zinc, youth pastor, while in Panama the students will engage in a number of different activities.
“We will be doing some light construction, dry wall, masonry, some basic construction and some bible schools,” he said.
Zinc also said that they will be working closely with the community in Panama where they will be staying.
The youth group plans to do a fundraising activity once a month to help pay for the cost of their trip.
The youth group plans to leave this summer June 22 and will return July 2.
