The Brownsville Rotary Club named Lindsay Sczypta as student of the month for November 2007. She is the daughter of Joseph and Denise Sczypta of Chestnut Ridge. She attends Brownsville Area High School, where she carries a 3.7 grade-point average and is in the National Honor Society and is vice president of the Spanish National Honor Society. She has been a cheerleader for seven years.
Sczypta is currently employed at Jackson Farms in New Salem. She attends St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church of Smock, where she has been an alter server for eight years. She plans to attend college and pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing in the future.
