Lori’s Look

What’s happening Spinsters?

Well, once again, it’s Monday, which is a crazy day for me at Spin It. Between meetings, gathering new content and preparing next week’s Spin It in print, I don’t even get to read the newspaper or see what’s going on in the world until later in the afternoon. However, I did hear something fascinating on the radio as I was driving into work this morning. Apparently, in order to encourage younger West Virginians to engage in the sport of hunting, a West Virginia lawmaker by the name of Sen. Billy Wayne Bailey, has proposed the idea of gun training in schools. This would be available for students in 7th through 9th grade.

I really don’t have an opinion one way or the other on this topic as I grew up in a family of hunters, and I have dabbled in the art of skeetshooting, but just the topic in and of itself was enough to catch my attention at 8:30 this morning.

Anyway, now that I have your brains in overload mode, I want to let everyone know that the Wine, Women & Song Festival will be taking place at the Christian W. Klay Winery in Chalk Hill on Saturday. Check out Clint Rhodes review on Clark Slater, who will be performing at the festival on Saturday.

Also, if anyone else out there is trying to shake this respiratory ailment going around Fayette County, please let me know. I feel your pain – for the last two weeks!
