Christina (Shay) Wilson, 54, of Smithfield, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in the Allegheny General Hospital with her loving family… Christina (Shay) Wilson, 54, of Smithfield, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in the Allegheny General Hospital with her loving family at her side.
She was born on November 13, 1953, in Uniontown, the daughter of Lennon Paul Shay and the late Helen (Thorpe) Shay.
Christina worked as secretary for Fed Ex in Phoenix, Arizona and was a former employee of Rockwell. She was a member of Carmichaels Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School.
Christina was an avid reader and animal lover.
She found great joy in other people’s company and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving father, Lennon Paul Shay of Smithfield and the following brothers and sisters: Julie Schultz of Smithfield, Stephen Shay and wife, Toni of Waltersburg, Scot Shay and wife, Jacqueline of Smithfield, Cheryl McMahon and husband, John of Ronco, Tamela Myers of Hopwood, Kevin Shay and wife, Janice of Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Christina was predeceased by her mother, Helen Shay on October 7, 2005 and her husband, Scott Wilson.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and River Avenue, Masontown today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. when the Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Knetzer officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
