MacKenzie Furin is American history essay winner

Colonel Andrew Lynn Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), presented an award to the American history essay contest winner, MacKenzie Ann Furin, a fifth-grade student at George C. Marshall Elementary School in the Laurel Highlands School District. The topic was “I Spy-Espionage During the American Revolution.” Taking part in the presentation were (from left) Modiste McGill, Hazel Williams and Clarissa Umbel of the DAR; Mackenzie Furin, and her parents, Leslie Cunningham and Douglas Furin.
